At Align Adolescent Recovery, we understand that the journey to “better” goes far beyond treatment. It’s about building a new normal–finding mental, emotional, physical and spiritual balance in a safe, purpose-driven environment.
At Align Adolescent Recovery, we specialize in helping adolescent males and their families find healing, connection, and direction. Our dual-diagnosis residential program and therapeutic boarding school—located on a 100-acre ranch outside Tucson, Arizona—provides immersive, clinically sophisticated care for young men facing mental health challenges, substance use, and trauma.
Whether your son is experiencing mental health challenges, substance misuse, challenges in traditional academic settings, trauma, or is stepping down from another program, our recovery community offers the structure, compassion, and evidence-based support he needs to heal—and grow.
What Makes Align Different?
A Full Continuum of Clinical Care
We are proud to offer licensed Residential Treatment (RTC), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP) levels of care—all on-site. This allows us to provide long-term, step-down support while maximizing insurance benefits and reducing financial burden. Our in-house utilization review and billing team ensures you’re never navigating that process alone.
Medical & Psychiatric Services
With access to in-house psychiatric providers and a medical team, we are uniquely equipped to support clinically acute clients and stabilize adolescents in crisis.
Flexible Length of Stay
Every young man’s healing timeline is different. We use a semester-based model to meet clients where they are, with a 5-month minimum for those transitioning to our Pivot Transitional Living Program and a 7-month minimum for those returning home. Multiple semesters are available for those who need continued support.

Individual, group, and family therapy rooted in evidence-based modalities including DBT, EMDR, and trauma-focused care
Education at San Pedro Valley Academy
Fully accredited academics with in-person instruction, individualized support, and a dedicated team of licensed teachers and learning specialists (also known as therapeutic boarding school or recovery high school)
Life Skills & Transitional Coaching
Emotional regulation, executive functioning, independent living skills, and healthy peer relationships
Nutrition & Wellness
Whole-body wellness including fitness center, cold plunge/sauna therapy, DBT meditation, and registered dietitian support
Somatic Experiences Through Horsemanship
Professional-level horsemanship, therapeutic riding, and equine-facilitated psychotherapy—all integrated into clinical work
Adventure Therapy & Level-Based Trips
Local and international expeditions, wilderness treks, camping, and service-based travel for eligible students

- Weekly family therapy via Zoom
- Intensive family weekends with adventure therapy, workshops, and sibling support
- Parent webinars, support groups, and Al-Anon-based meetings multiple times per week

Located in the Sonoran Desert, our safe, secure, and serene campus setting includes:

Insurance & Admissions
Our admissions team begins with a complimentary Verification of Benefits (VOB) to assess your insurance coverage. We offer courtesy billing and support you through the process to minimize stress and out-of-pocket costs. Admissions are ongoing and based on clinical fit.
